Dreamland
Another conversation on my trip was started by the 'what is Thanet for' question.
Ramsgate was about boats, yacht club, ferries and a harbourside nightlife.
Broadstairs was the old fashioned gentle seaside with folk week etc.
Margate was much more difficult but it always came back to Dreamland, without it Margate is nothing much else.

I agree. Most people in my recent poll wanted a modern theme park there, but the chances of that are tiny I fear.
There has been some progress in sprucing up the old town I feel, but the high street is a disaster and Dreamland a nightmare.
