During a spell of boredom yesterday when I coudn't get outside yet again, I sat here and did a bit of googling. This is one item that I came up with.

A 20-year-old man will appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with an attack on an East Rand woman and her British boyfriend in Leisure Bay near Margate, police said.


Should the British go to Margate? Is it safe?

Another decision

I know my memory has been getting worse lately, but, what month is this? What do I wear to work today? I am sitting here freezing but remember last Thursday when I dressed up warm only, after a bit of running around in the afternoon, coming home in a molten state with the heat. Did we have a proper August in July?

Decisions

Too many decisions to make at the moment. Are any of the fuchsias going to be good enough to show? Am I going to have enough ripe tomatoes ( they really are giving me trouble this year}? Is it worth going up the allotment for carrots, has the rain been any good to them? When is the weedkiller going to work on the clover in the lawn, do I need to put more on? It's all hurting my head.

Local Plan

I have been really busy lately, garden club shows and coach trips to visit gardens etc. So much to do in the garden and on the allotment.
But like others I have also been following the Westwood housing trail including the meeting at Manston and the site planning meeting. I am fed up with the excuse 'Local Plan'. OK so it took 4 years to be completed but that was years ago, since then Westwood retail has been built. The councillors standing there could see the traffic that has been created since the 'Local Plan' was agreed. Is it set in stone? They can live in cloud cuckoo land if they want but people still won't walk, cycle or use buses, they will use cars and the centre of Thanet is not the place for more cars. The western outskirts are prepared for it, especially with the new East Kent Road so just change the 'Local Plan'.
