Manston Garden Club had it's annual show yesterday and what a marvellous show it was too. Well done to them all

It's not often that I get worked up by the news but the fact that Ruhela Khanom got off with no prosecution is amazing. The judge was convinced enough to discharge her and report her onwards and people have been convicted of contempt for much less

Summer

Went for a drive around the coast with my Mum yesterday. Started at Minnis bay by the time we got to Westgate we decided to walk along the front for half an hour and have an ice cream (I'd like a '99' - do you want a flake with that!). Margate was just as busy as Mum remembered from her youth but no chance of parking anywhere. Thought of having a quick one at the Captain Digby but decided to wait until Joss Bay, but that was as busy as I remember from my youth and no chance of parking there either.
By the time we were approaching Broadstairs, I remembered Folk week, and decided a full detour was in order to get home and have a cup of tea.
We did try to watch the Perseids late last night but only managed to see one out of the corner of the eye - never seem to be looking in the right place - will have to try again tonight
